extend/buddypress.php is a conglomeration of classes for dealing with all bbPress-BuddyPress interactions, including the Activity and Group components, as well as general URL mappers and overrides. Break it into a file structure to allow for an easier developer experience.

I do not have much experience adding/deleting files from SVN in a diff; please let me know if this needs to be altered.

When splitting out BBP_BuddyPress_Activity from BBP_BuddyPress, I ended up adding BBP_Buddypress->setup_components() to instantiate BBP_BuddyPress_Activity.

Awesome stuff. I'm moving this into 2.2 to remember to look at it asap. Would fit nicely with the file structure reorg.

(In [4397]) BuddyPress:

  • Remove component.php, and consolidate into loader.php.
  • Introduce members.php, for modifying bbPress profile links.
  • Rename loading class and references where appropriate.
