I'm not inclined to do this as the person installing should know the language code as they are the ones who uploaded the language file with the same name.

That language list is for situations where the user can select their own language for the interface.

I'm agree with you.
But display the name of language is nicer than fr_FR :)

Presumably the administrator will understand as they will have put the file in there in the first place.
