I embedded a new topic form on my site using the shortcode and the content area has no border, making it impossible to know anything is there.

This looks like a theme issue, or perhaps a JavaScript bug is preventing TinyMCE from appearing in it's "teeny" incarnation.
Are you able to provide more information about what theme you're using, and whether or not any CSS or JS is conflicting?

I'm using Theme X. I'm not sure how to find if any CSS or JS is conflicting. How would I go about finding that out?

While you're here, I was wondering if you knew about the timeline for bbPress 2.6. I have been anxious to get the feature to replace Wordpress comments with a bbPress topic, which I know is slated for 2.7, but it looks like the development is barely moving. Is there a reason for that? Just curious.
Also, it looks like the margin above Topic Title is off.
