Forum visibility not respecting associated groups visibility

Description
Forum topic and reply activities belonging to a private group were publicly visible in the "all group" activity stream. After investigating this further, it appears that the forum visibility is not being updated/synced with the visibility settings of an associated group.
For example, bp_groups has a status:private, however the post_type:forum associated with the group has post_status:public and this does not change with an update via the Wordpress admin or group admin settings panel.
