- Milestone changed from 2.3 to bbPress.org
- Version trunk deleted
This shouldn't be a 2.3 issue.
Displaying the page title - in this case the display names - is something the theme does in this instance, not bbPress.
In your link, that page has omitted the page title (entry title) thus the display name showing up. You must be using a /extra template. By default the display name shows on all the TwentyX themes correctly.

- Milestone changed from bbPress.org to Awaiting Review
- Summary changed from Display name missing on profiles to Display name missing on profiles when using extras templates
- Version set to 2.2
Confirmed
Repro Steps:
- Switch to 'Twenty Twelve' WordPress theme
- Open a user profile page eg. http://example.com/forums/user/admin/ see 2075-no-extras.png
- Upload bbPress extras folder to /wp-content/themes/twentytwelve/bbpress
- Refresh user profile page eg. http://example.com/forums/user/admin/ see 2075-with-extras.png
Note: That the sidebar is also acting funky and primarily relates to the recent discussions we have had in IRC and bbPress dev chat ~13th December 2012 regarding the /extras/ templates using the 'Twenty Twelve' theme causing inconsistencies.

- Component changed from Front-end to Theme Compatability
- Keywords needs-patch added; needs-testing removed
- Milestone changed from Awaiting Review to 2.4
Anyone want to take a stab at updating the extras templates for Twenty Twelve? Moving to 2.4, and if a patch comes in before 2.3 drops, we can sneak it in.
