As mentioned in http://bbpress.org/forums/topic/has-anyone-gotten-an-wysiwyg-editor-working-with-bbpress#post-98658

Problem: edit and merge links break on topics (front end).

Changing permalink structure to 'Numeric' sets the explosion.

Note: this is version 2.1 beta but 2.0 was the highest available "version" I could pick.

  • Status changed from new to closed

(In [3773]) trailingslashit() pretty permalinks when getting the edit URL for a topic or reply.

  • Fixes issues specifically with numeric permalinks setting
  • Also fixes custom permalinks without trailing slash
  • Fixes #1762
