create new role for Forum Moderator

and possibly for Forum Admin as well.

Having these in the core would make it easier for plugins in my opinion.

Thanks for opening this ticket. I am +1 on this, although it may not be turned on by default. Trying to stick to existing roles and mapping capabilities where possible.

Since BuddyPress and other plugins could benefit from a 'site wide moderator' it would be nice if this was something both projects could use and extend.

Additionally by having this available it may allow for the possibility of 'hidden' areas for Moderators etc etc.

I run a forum where I would like a few of the regulars to be Mods, but not have the ability to post or even see the back end of the blog.

Though I suppose a simple role editor plugin would be sufficient - I can test that out once the plugin gets closer to release.
