php syntax error on backpress/pomo/translations.php

Description

I did a fresh SVN download for testing bbPress and when trying to access installation a php error occurs: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '&', expecting T_VARIABLE or '$' in /bb-includes/backpress/pomo/translations.php on line 107

The unexpected '&' comes from "&$entry". The error itself originates in the glotpress trac changeset for the file backpress/pomo/translations.php.

See: http://trac.glotpress.org/changeset/375

Removing the ampersand allowed me to continue installation.

Anyone else could test this to check whether this error can be reproduced?

Which PHP version?

#3 @matveb

Yes, this should be a php4 thing only. I was sure to be testing with php5, though I seem to be having inconsistent switches between php5 and 4. However, the requeriments for bbPress should be updated --if that is indeed the culprit-- as it currently lists php4: http://bbpress.org/about/requirements/

Absolutely, but "as of PHP 5" and bbPress requirements still indicate php4 as workable. GlotPress requires version five though.
