There's an "ASCII screenshot" of my concept.

I'm making it as a plugin, and then whoever wants to can convert it into core.

Ben's plugin is awsome! I think we could merge his plugin (and this ticket) into #538.

Closing as wontfix since there's a plugin to handle this if needed.
